Export Development Board of Sri Lanka (EDB) will participate with seven garment manufacturers in the 43rd edition of Apparel Sourcing Paris 2018 show which will be held from September 17 to 20 in Paris.
The event will be co-located with Texworld and Leatherworld exhibitions as well.
The Texworld/ Apparel Sourcing event will be the largest sourcing fair for garments and fabric in France. There will be over 1,660 exhibitors from 36 countries participating for the event and with the co-located events (Texworld and Leatherworld ) over 14,581 visitors from 108 countries will take part. Visitors come from all over Europe with a large number of buyers from UK, France, Turkey, Spain, Italy and Germany.
Sri Lanka will have opportunity to lunch fashion shows and show case their products to this large audience which includes influential buyers as well. Sri Lankan companies have also been invited at attend the VIP dinner with buyers and designers.
In addition, a Sri Lanka Fashion Show will also be organized parallel to promote Sri Lankan designers/ exhibitors products.
The exhibition attracts manufacturers from all the major sourcing countries. Cambodia, China, India, Pakistan, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Taiwan, Ethiopia, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Kyrgyzstan and many others have national pavilions organized by their respective governments as well as exhibitors from Netherlands, Turkey, Japan, Sweden, Singapore and Portugal etc.
Leatherworld Paris will be held first time in September 2018 and it will contain tannery as well as finished leather goods. These will range from leather garments to accessories such as bags, shoes and other fashion products. Over the years a large number of leather brands have been requesting a section of leather inside the show.
Last year too EDB participated with its first Sri Lanka Pavilion in Apparel Sourcing for this event along with Crystal Lanka Apparels, JIA Moda, Lanka Garments, Perks Clothing, Queens Work Wear, Sarasavi Exports, Stylish Garments and Trendy wear.
